27 Days Left

We are getting much closer now!!  I am 36 weeks pregnant so baby can arrive at any time.  The baby seems to be growing at a good rate - all normal!  My next midwife appointment is this Wednesday - I’m sure all will be OK.
My hormones are certainly hitting an all time high. The past couple of weeks I’ve noticed that I am much more emotional than usual - the additional hormones are finally kicking in and I find it really strange some of the things that are getting to me - not getting a seat on the bus or the underground seems to frustrate me then bring me to tears.  I’m sure rush hour commuters dread seeing me walk in!
I find that I am exhausted by the end of the day and just ache all over. I’m also getting much slower at getting anything done... or I just seem to forget what I was doing so two hours later I come across the laundry or the dishes that I have started but not finished... I hope this stops when baby arrives - hate to think that I only get half way through changing a diaper...
We’ve also started our prenatal classes.  They are great so far.  We have met some really nice couples and have a fabulous teacher who has been a midwife for over 30 years and runs her own private birthing clinic.  Last week we learnt about pain relief - the most useful advice was to have a drink and to eat chocolate.  Not just one drink but getting sloshed helps relieve the pain and possibly forget all about it!!!  As for the chocolates they help keep your sugar levels high.  With this great advice I will make sure to have a bottle of red wine and a box of chocolates handy when the contractions start!!
We are keeping a very busy social schedule - trying to cram as much in before baby.  This Saturday March 3rd we will be going to an Arsenal football match  - this will be my first ever professional football match... I’m looking forward to it!! I’m sure I will get some strange looks as I don’t think football fans are used to seeing an 8 and a half month pregnant lady cheering in the stands.
